If you're looking to save some money and make your own seasoning blends at home, then today's recipe is for you!
This DIY Taco Seasoning is simple and delicious! If you already have these spices in your pantry, then you can mix up a batch whenever you want! If not, grab the spices you need on your next grocery trip.
This seasoning would be great for gifts too! Buy some cute seasoning bottles, print some labels and wrap them up. This would be perfect for the kiddos to make and gift to teachers, aunts, uncles, etc.
It's great for ground meat, chicken breast, beef, pork or fish. Once you give this a try, you'll never go back to store bought seasoning again!

Recipe tips:
- If you’re not a huge fan of garlic or onion flavors, reduce the onion and garlic powder by half. If you love it, then increase!
- If you're wanting a texture more like packaged taco seasoning for ground meat, mix up a little corn starch and water, mix in and cook for a couple minutes.
- Depending on the brand you use, 4 tablespoons usually equals one packet for one pound of ground meat. You can always start with 2 tablespoons and add for your preferences.
- Be aware that chili powders vary depending on the country they originate from. Each one varies in flavor and spiciness and can drastically change the flavor of your seasoning. We used American chili powder, most commonly found in grocery stores.
- Store in the pantry in an airtight container for up to 12 months.
