Looking for a quick and easy grab and go snack for your toddler? Try this Blueberry Toddler Trail Mix!
This snack mix is a favorite in our house. Hazel absolutely loves anything blueberry and eats it up every time we make it! We’ve also tried it with strawberry Cheerios, and that was a delicious twist too.
I recommend this trail mix for kids 12 months and up. When Hazel was around 9 months old, we had a choking scare with yogurt melts, but by 12 months, she had enough teeth to chew them properly, making it a safer snack. As always, be sure to supervise little ones while they eat.
We love using freeze-dried strawberries and blueberries when we don’t have fresh fruit on hand. They dissolve quickly, are packed with flavor, and make a great addition to this mix. The combination of yogurt melts, Cheerios, and freeze-dried blueberries creates a fun mix of textures and flavors, making snack time exciting.
Plus, this mix doubles as a learning activity! Kids can sort the different ingredients or count how many of each they have, making snack time both fun and educational.
Even though it's called "toddler" trail mix, it's a hit with all ages, even adults! Happy snacking!

Recipe tips and substitution ideas:
- Some brands vary in their fruit sizing and if the blueberries are large, it’s best to cut them for a safer snacking option. My brand was from Target and they were the same size or smaller than the yogurt bites.
- Store this trail mix in a ziploc bag for up to one week or an airtight container for up to one month.
- use any flavor cheerios instead of blueberry, use freeze dried strawberries or peaches instead of blueberries or use any flavor yogurt melts!
