This non-alcoholic drink is tasty, family friendly and festive! Great for any holiday including Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving or even game day! Add your favorite vodka, sparkling wine or champagne for a delicious adult beverage!
December is sure flying by for our family!
We've been so busy with my daughter's activities. She just finished knowledge bowl, and is in choir and also basketball!
In addition to that, the non-profit I serve at as an Americorps VISTA has TONS of evening programming and activities this month, and of course all of the holiday parties and festivities!
Last month was crazy too! I had a mini vacation in Maryland and DC for a friend's birthday and spent some time in Mankato, MN for Thanksgiving at my sister's house! Tons of fun and excitement!
It makes me wonder how and when I have time for food blogging and essential oil classes. Business building is no joke! I manage to do it all somehow! Haha!
Today's recipe is quite fantastic!
It's been awhile since I've made and posted a drink recipe, but this one is well worth the wait.
This punch is filled with tons of citrus and cranberry goodness with a touch of almond flavor!
Who else loves almond flavor as much as I do?
I swear I love when almond extract is added to sugar cookies or quick breads. Sometimes I use it instead of vanilla extract for something unique and different. Give it a try sometime, seriously amazing.
This recipe is non-alcoholic, but it would be delicious with a sparkling moscato or champagne! To keep it kid friendly, make the recipe as listed, but spike individual glasses with your alcohol of choice.
It's also very versatile. I used leftover cranberry sauce, but you can also used canned depending on what you have on hand. I used ginger ale, but you could also use lemon lime soda!
Any variation you make, it's going to be delicious, gorgeous and fun!
My daughter helped in every step of the recipe process for this punch and she loved drinking it when it was ready! I just love these moments in the kitchen with her!

by
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (fresh or canned. I used leftovers from this recipe)
- 2 1/4 cups water
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 cups chilled ginger ale
- lemon slices and whole fresh cranberries for garnish, optional
Instructions
Blend cranberry sauce in a blender until smooth.
Add cranberry puree, water, orange juice, lemon juice and almond extract in a pitcher. Stir well. Add ginger ale and stir well just before serving.
When serving, pour into four glasses and garnish with cranberries and a lemon slice on the rim.
