Garlic bread has to be one of my most favorite things on earth.
I love it with lunch or dinner, or as an appetizer or snack. Sometimes I use fresh parsley, sometimes dried, or in this case, fresh dill.
This is my first time using fresh dill in garlic bread, and I absolutely LOVED it!
Fresh dill is super delicious. I have many fond memories of picking fresh dill from my Dad and Grandma's gardens for homemade pickles.
My Mom and Grandma canned jars of sour pickles and also made open crock pickles. My mouth still waters at the taste of those homemade pickles. Store bought just doesn't compare when it comes to homemade family recipes.
I really need to up my game and give those old school canning recipes a try. I'll need to recruit my sister to go on this crazy foodie adventure with me!

What is in Parmesan Dill Garlic Bread?
- Grated Parmesan Cheese: The cheese of my childhood. We always ate it on top of spaghetti or buttered noodles. You can use freshly grated, find out how to grate it here or use the green can of Kraft that we're all familiar with!
- Fresh Dill: This herb is a good source of fiber and vitamin c. We love using it with buttery potatoes, soups and dips. A little of this herb goes a long way and if you have any extra leftover, try freezing it for future use!
- Fresh Garlic: My favorite of all time. Fresh garlic gets added to pretty much everything I cook! Garlic not only tastes great, but has some amazing health benefits too! It's low in calories, full of antioxidants and is rich in vitamin c.
- French Bread: IMO this is the best bread for making garlic bread or toast. I prefer the short, fat loves, versus the long skinny loaves or baguettes. It's also great for dunking in soups, making bread pudding or croutons!
