Today's recipe brings me back to my childhood!
I fondly remember all of the holidays, parties and potlucks we attended in central Minnesota had some type of fluff dessert salad on the menu.
I absolutely loved them then, and still love them now, even though I don't make or eat them very often.
This recipe came from an old church cookbook I had in my collection. It was missing measurements for the sizes of cans of fruit and Cool Whip, but after a visit to the grocery store I was able to find the sizes that worked and this recipe came out perfectly.
Most fluff salads are made of some type of cool whip or whipped cream, jello, pudding or sweetened condensed milk, pie filling, fruit cocktail, canned fruit, marshmallows, cookies or candy bars.
The possibilities are endless and a quick search on Pinterest will lead you to every kind of fluff salad imagined.
They are great for holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas, picnics, BBQ's, potlucks or just because!

I just had to serve this tasty Pink Cherry Fluff Salad in one of my Pink Gooseberry Pyrex bowls. I have a huge collection of vintage Pyrex and really love taking photos of food for the blog in them. The Pink Gooseberry goes perfect with this yummy and pretty pink salad.
I hope you enjoy this easy and sweet dessert recipe as much as we did!
What is in a Pink Cherry Fluff Salad?
- Pecans: this nut is part of the hickory family and is native to southern United States, particularly Georgia and northern Mexico. They have some great health benefits, such as potassium, iron, calcium and magnesium.
- Sweetened condensed milk: Made from cow's milk in which the water has been removed. It's most often found with sugar added making it sweetened. It adds moisture, tenderness and flavor to baked goods. You can use store bought or make it homemade with this recipe!
