Tis the season for everything cranberry!
If you're a fan of the classic Moscow Mule, and you love cranberries, you have to give this delicious and refreshing drink a try!
This drink is traditionally served in the copper mug. The mug takes on the coldness of the drink, but if you don't have the mugs, no worries. Don't rush and buy them, you can use a highball glass instead!
This drink was invented in the early 1940's at the Chatham Hotel in New York and was called "Little Moscow". It became popular soon after and could be found all over.
This cranberry version of the Moscow Mule is fantastic! It's slightly sweeter and so refreshing. I love it more than the original and it's so fun and festive for the holiday season.
It's also great for any get together like girl's night, bachelorette parties, game night and more! You can have a Moscow Mule bar and include strawberries, blackberries and other berries so everyone can customize their own drink!
If you're a cranberry fan like I am, then you'll also want to try this Cranberry Sangria or this Cranberry Orange Whiskey Sour!
What are the ingredients in this recipe?
Recipe tips:
- To make this recipe non-alcoholic, omit the vodka
- If this drink is too tart for you, add some simple syrup
- I prefer using pure cranberry juice for this recipe (not cranberry juice cocktail) but either will work
- Make sure to use ginger beer-- not ginger ale
- Moscow Mules should not be made ahead as the ginger beer will start to flatten (lose it's bubbles) once opened
- To make a Kentucky mule, use bourbon instead of vodka
- To add a little “something extra” add 1/2 ounce of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur— it helps enhance the earthiness of the cranberries
- You can freeze the cranberries ahead of time to give the drink a frosty look
- Use a premium vodka and freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor
- Sparkling Grinch Cocktail
- Eggnog Amaretto Cocktail
- Apple Cider Cocktail
- Naughty Rudolph Cocktail
- White Christmas Sangria
- Slow Cooker or Stovetop White Hot Chocolate
