Growing up, my Mom always made creamy cucumbers with cucumbers straight from the garden. Her sauce was miracle whip based and to this day it's still a favorite of mine and my siblings.
Today's recipe is my own version of creamy cucumbers. This salad is so tangy and delicious and we especially love the flavor of the garlic and fresh dill in the sour cream and vinegar sauce.
It's easy, inexpensive and so great to feed a crowd at any summer potluck, picnic or BBQ.

Recipe tips:
- Add additional salt to taste. We sometimes use more depending on the size of our cucumbers.
- I do not suggest storing this. Once the dressing mixes with the vegetables, serve it right away for the best results. To make ahead, simply mix the dressing and slice the veggies and keep stored separately. Combine when ready to serve.

Notes
If you like a bit of sweetness to your creamy cucumber salad, you can add 1 tablespoon granulated sugar to the dressing mix.
If you don’t have garlic on hand, a ½ tablespoon of garlic powder will work.
Add additional salt to taste. We sometimes use more depending on the size of our cucumbers.
I do not suggest storing this. Once the dressing mixes with the vegetables, serve it right away for the best results. To make ahead, simply mix the dressing and slice the veggies and keep stored separately. Combine when ready to serve.
