I am absolutely obsessed with making wings in the air fryer! I love how crispy the skin gets and how juicy the chicken is when it's done.

These wings are packed full of flavor. The chicken is seasoned, the breading is seasoned and the parmesan garlic butter sauce is the topping on the cake.

My family usually eats these wings without dipping sauce because they're so flavorful, but ranch or pizza sauce are great for this recipe. We also love The Best Pomodoro Sauce to dip them in!

We've served these wings for parties and holidays, but they always make an easy and delicious weeknight dinner too. My youngest loves these wings, with or without the sauce. They taste great either way.

Recipe tips:

  • We own a Ninja air fryer and these cook in about 18 minutes to the crispiness we love! Different brands may heat differently and wing sizes vary, so adjust the time or temperature accordingly and use a meat thermometer if you're unsure. You'll want the wings to be super crispy so the sauce coats them and doesn't make them soggy.

Air Fryer Buttery Parmesan Garlic Wings

Ingredients

  • Wings:
  • 16 wings (flats and drums)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Breading:
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Sauce:
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, season the wings with garlic powder, onion powder and ½ teaspoon salt. Toss to evenly coat.
  2. In a separate shallow bowl, combine the flour, ½ teaspoon salt and black pepper.
  3. Lightly coat each wing with the flour mixture, then add to your air fryer basket on the broil rack.
  4. Space wings evenly and cook in batches if needed.
  5. Air fry at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes, then flip and air fry for another 8 minutes or until crispy and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and place wings in a bowl.
  7. Sauce:
  8. Meanwhile, add the butter to a bowl and melt in the microwave. Stir in the garlic powder, parsley, black pepper and parmesan.
  9. Drizzle butter mixture over the wings and toss to coat. (we cook the wings in two batches, using half the butter for the first batch, and half for the second.)
  10. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
