  • If you want red and green apples, use half red and half green candy melts instead of all red.

Apple Oreo Cookie Balls

Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces red candy melts
  • green M&Ms
  • pretzel sticks, broken into 1/4" pieces

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place oreos in a stand mixer with paddle attachment. Mix at low speed until all of the oreos are crushed into a fine oreo crumble.
  3. Add cream cheese to the mixing bowl. Mix on medium speed until a soft dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Remove the dough from the fridge and roll into tablespoon sized balls. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour to chill.
  6. Melt the red candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 15 to 30 second intervals, checking and stirring each time so that the candy melts don't burn.
  7. Remove the cookie balls from the freezer and dip them in the melted chocolate.
  8. Place cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet and immediately top with an M&M and ¼” piece of pretzel.
  9. Place the apple oreo balls in the fridge and allow them to harden completely before serving.
