Need a cute party food for Halloween? You'll want to make these fun and delicious Mummy Jalapeno Poppers!
They are so quick to pop in the air fryer and cook. They come out so crispy and cheesy. Since the seeds and ribs are removed from the jalapeno, they're not too spicy either. The cheese and crescent wrap help tame down any extra heat. You can serve them with ranch for dipping, or they're also great as is, too.
We are absolutely obsessed with our air fryer lately, so I've been throwing everything in there to cook, instead of turning on the oven.
My daughter had fun helping with the crescent part of the recipe and she also helped with candy eyes after they cooled down from baking. We all enjoyed them and they're sure to be a hit at any Halloween gathering.
We love making fun Halloween treats to eat before or after trick or treating. If you do too, try these Jack o Lantern Quesadillas, Mini Monster Meatloaves or Halloween Deviled Eggs!

Recipe tips and substitution ideas:
- If kids are helping with this recipe, make sure they wear plastic gloves when handling the jalapenos and keep away from their face and eyes.
- These can be made in an oven too. Place on a baking sheet, increase the temperature to 400 degrees F and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sweet mini peppers work great in addition or instead of jalapenos, if you don't like spicy foods.
- We love adding cooked and crumbled bacon to the cheese mixture or use minced garlic instead of garlic powder.

Air Fryer Mummy Jalapeno Poppers
Ingredients
- 1 - 8 ounce can of crescent rolls
- 6 fresh jalapeƱos
- 1 - 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar jack cheese
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 large egg
- 24 candy eyeballs
- ranch dressing for dipping, optional
Instructions
- Roll out crescent roll dough leaving individual rolls together. Pinch closed the perforations.
- Place dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll flat to 1/8” thick.
- Cut slices long ways to mimic mummy wrap. Set aside.
- Clean and prepare jalapeƱos by slicing them open, removing the seeds and endocarp (the whitish membrane that seeds are attached to), and rinsing the insides out. Try to leave the stem intact. Provides a perfect handle.
- Add cheeses and garlic to a mixing bowl and whip with a hand mixer until light and airy.
- Fill the inside of the jalapeƱos with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap the jalapeƱos in the dough to mimic a mummy. You can overlap the dough but the dough will expand so do not over-wrap the jalapeƱos. You want to see the jalapeƱos under the wrapping.
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush over the wrapped jalapeƱos.
- Place in a parchment-lined air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes at 375 degrees F or until the dough is golden brown.
- Once cooked remove and let cool. Place two eyes on each jalapeƱo pushing into the cheese filling.
- Serve with ranch dressing.
