If you love White Castle sliders and want to make them at home for dinner, give today's recipe a try!
We had a White Castle in my city for several years, but it ended up closing. I'm not a huge fan of eating fast food, but I love to try copycat recipes at home.
These sliders are so easy to make and delicious too! They're great for kids because they're so cute and mini. I love sliders, so they're a great meal for me, as well. They taste super close to the original, for a fraction of the price. We serve them with some Air Fryer French Fries for a complete, at home, fast food meal. These sliders are also great as an appetizer or for a game day party!

Recipe tips and substitution ideas:
- Refrigerate leftover burgers and onions for up to three days in an airtight container.
- We love using King Hawaiian slider buns for this recipe instead of regular slider buns or dinner rolls.
- This can be made using ground chicken or turkey instead of ground beef. Try adding different toppings or use different seasonings in the beef.
- Try adding diced bell peppers to the onions.

White Castle Sliders
Ingredients
- 12 slider rolls or dinner rolls, cut in half
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Beef Better than Bouillon
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup finely chopped yellow onion
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup water
- 10-12 yellow American cheese slices, each slice cut into 4 squares
- 24 dill pickle slices
- ketchup, mustard, mayo, optional toppings
Instructions
- In a large bowl add the ground beef, beef bouillon, and garlic powder. Mix together until well combined.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add the ground beef mixture.
- Evenly spread out the ground beef until it forms a flat layer that will make 12 sliders. Use a knife and cut into 12 squares that measure about the same size as the rolls. Use a spoon and make 5 holes in each slider.
- Place the baking sheet with the ground beef in the freezer for about 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Remove the baking sheet from the freezer and break apart the ground beef patties, set aside. Discard the parchment paper.
- Sprinkle the chopped onions on the bottom of the baking sheet, spreading evenly, then season with salt and pepper. Pour the water in the baking sheet with the onions. Place the ground beef patties directly on top of the onions.
- Place baking sheet into the oven and allow the patties to steam for 10-12 minutes or until cooked through.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove each patty with some onions from the baking pan and place onto the bottom of a roll. Add 3 cheese squares and 2 pickles to each slider. Add additional condiments, if desired then place the top bun on the top of the slider and serve.
