Recipe tips and substitution ideas:

  • Use pizza dough from the refrigerated section at the grocery store, or use your favorite homemade dough recipe.
  • I recommend using freshly shredded cheese whenever possible for best melt and flavor.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer.

Pepperoni Pizza Twists

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle about ⅛ inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella and pepperoni evenly over half of the dough.
  5. Fold the half of the pizza dough without the mozzarella over the half with the mozzarella and press the edges to seal them together.
  6. Cut the dough into ½ inch strips.
  7. Twist the strips and then place them at least 2 inches apart on the parchment lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the twists start to turn golden brown.
  9. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley.
  10. Use a pastry brush to brush the twists evenly with melted butter.
  11. Serve warm, with sauce, if desired.
